Faith leaders play an essential role in bringing communities together to promote connectedness—faith, hope, and life—and provide support to those who may be struggling or in crisis. With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the entire country, and physical distancing mandates in place in many states and communities, faith leaders are now challenged with a new reality—finding alternate ways to bring their communities together and provide care and support from a distance. Especially now during this difficult time, faith leaders can make a tremendous, positive impact on the well-being of their congregations by building virtual opportunities for social connectedness and community.
Join the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention‘s (Action Alliance) Faith Communities Task Force on April 30 at 2:00 p.m. ET for Strengthening Faith Community Connectedness During the COVID-19 Pandemic. During this free, one-hour webinar participants will:
- Hear from a distinguished and diverse group of faith leaders to learn about how they are using technology to strengthen connectedness and support virtually.
- Connect with each other to share personal experiences and ideas for holding online religious services, convening groups virtually, and providing support to those who are struggling.
- Learn about how to integrate the Action Alliance’s National Weekend of Prayer for Faith, Hope, & Life (May 15-17, 2020) into their efforts to help communities wherever they pray.
