Supplemental Security Income Recipients Will Receive Automatic COVID-19 Economic Impact Payments
The Social Security Administration announced that Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will receive automatic Economic Impact Payments directly from the Treasury Department. Treasury anticipates these automatic payments no later than early May.
SSI recipients who have qualifying children under age 17, however, should not wait for their automatic $1,200 individual payment. They should now go to the IRS’s webpage at www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here and visit the Non-Filers: Enter Your Payment Info section to provide their information.

HHS-SAMHSA: Rural Emergency Medical Services Training Grant

SAMHSA is accepting applications for the Rural Emergency Medical Services Training grants (EMS Training). The purpose of this program is to recruit and train emergency medical services (EMS) personnel in rural areas. SAMHSA recognizes the great need for emergency services in rural areas and the critical role EMS personnel serve across the country.

USDA-RD Rural Business Development Grants
Application due: Thursday, May 14, 2020
USDA is making the grants available under the Rural Business Development Grants program for intermediaries seeking to provide rural communities with training and technical assistance to improve transportation services and facilities. USDA does not provide funding directly to individuals under this program. National organizations focused on serving rural communities are eligible to apply. Applications will be scored reviewed and selected on a competitive basis.
