Announcement from CDC,
- CDC has a new noncompetitive grant, Supporting Tribal Public Health Capacity in Coronavirus Preparedness and Response (CDC-RFA-OT20-2004) to expand access to all tribal communities. Under this mechanism:
- A total of $159M is allocated for tribal communities.
- The application due date is May 31st.
- This funding is intended to carry out surveillance, epidemiology, laboratory capacity, infection control, mitigation, communications, and other preparedness and response activities for COVID-19.
- In order to allocate resources quickly, CDC is awarding funding on a rolling basis, as applications are submitted.
- We would like to see applications from all eligible applicants: All federally recognized tribal nations, all tribes and tribal organizations that contract or compact with IHS under Title I and Title V of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, and consortia of these tribes or their bona fide agents are eligible
