The COVID-19 pandemic still poses a threat to the health, safety and welfare of everyone. ATribal State of Emergency remains in place to protect the Tribal Community. With the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the tribe, a Safer at Home Order issued by Chairman Marcellus W. Osceola Jr. is in effect at 12:01am on July 21, 2020. Safer at Home Order = You are Safer at Home more than anywhere else.
This order highly recommends all individuals living on all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations to stay at home and limit any movement outside their property. Essential activities can include, but are not limited to, trips to the grocery store, picking up food, getting fuel, going to work, medical visits and exercising.
This Safer at Home Order also requires everyone leaving their homes to wear a mask or facial covering in public spaces. Also, all individuals on Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and properties are required to wear a mask or facial covering when inside government buildings, commercial buildings and houses of worship.
We are urging all Tribal Members across all of our Reservations and Tribal communities to take personal responsibility and follow this course of action for their safety and well-being. PLEASE REMAIN AT HOME AND WHEN IN PUBLIC WEAR A MASK! This emergency order is subject to change based on the health risk to the community.
