Opening of Minnesota Housing Partnership’s Strengthening Rural Communities Program Application

Good afternoon,

I’m reaching out today regarding the opening of Minnesota Housing Partnership’s Strengthening Rural Communities Program Application.  MHP is excited to announce we now have capacity and funding to take on new engagements and provide technical and financial assistance to rural entities nation-wide.

We here at the Partnership are dedicated to affirmatively marketing our available assistance and hope to address a wide scope of issues among a diverse group of applicants. To this end, our TA Staff are conducting outreach to ensure we engage with organizations and communities across the United StatesHopefully your organization has an interest in the program, knows of another entity that may benefit from MHP’s resources, or would be willing to share our announcement with your network.

The Minnesota Housing Partnership is a non-profit organization that provides resources and knowledge to create, preserve, and sustain affordable housing. Our community team has extensive experience working directly with communities, regions, and organizations to address a wide span of housing, economic, and organizational development needs. If selected, eligible entities would have the ability to develop projects and receive assistance for a period of up to four years. In previous projects MHP has assisted with a wide scope of beneficiary needs including but not limited to:

  • Affordable Housing (Rehab, Preservation, Pre-Development for New Construction)
  • Implementation of Supportive Housing and Services
  • Economic Drivers including workforce development and small business support
  • Administration and compliance with development programs
  • Organizational Development
  • Expanding access to funding and funding applications

Entities eligible for MHP’s assistance include but are not limited to community development corporations (CDCs), community housing development organizations (CHDOs), local/county governments, and Native Nations. Organizations that have only recently begun working in this area are also eligible to apply. More information on eligibility and requirements is available anytime on the MHP website (mhponline.org) or by reaching out to us via the contact information below.

I’ve attached related materials in PDF format, and links are included below to the announcement online and on social media. Please feel free to pass these materials on as you see fit and help us spread the news. MHP may be able to provide our announcement in a format specific to your needs should it be helpful. Applications are being accepted until July 23rd, 2021. Don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss the program or ask any questions you may have. You are welcome to forward my contact information as well.
