I’m reaching out again to remind you that the Minnesota Housing Partnership is actively seeking new beneficiaries for our Strengthening Rural Communities Program this summer! The Minnesota Housing Partnership is a non-profit organization that provides resources and knowledge to create, preserve, and sustain affordable housing. MHP assists rural entities across the nation in addressing their prevalent affordable housing and community development challenges. If selected, eligible entities would have the ability to develop projects and receive federally funded support for a period of up to four years.
MHP has a staff and network of talented team members with extensive experience working directly with rural communities to address a wide span of housing, economic, and organizational development needs. Entities eligible for MHP’s assistance include but are not limited to community development corporations (CDCs), community housing development organizations (CHDOs), local/county governments, and Native Nations. Organizations that have only recently begun working in this area are also eligible to apply.
If your organization could use assistance with overcoming barriers to the development or sustaining of affordable housing, implementing supportive services, establishing (or expanding) access to funding, we hope you will apply! More information on eligibility and program requirements is available anytime on the MHP website (mhponline.org) or by reaching out to us via the contact information below.
I’ve attached related materials in PDF format, and links are included below to the announcement online and on social media. Applications are being accepted until July 23rd, 2021. Don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss the program or ask any questions you may have. You are welcome to forward my contact information as well.
