Technical Assistance available for Tribes and TDHEs administering Emergency Rental Assistance

HUD is pleased to announce that, through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Treasury, we have made awards to technical assistance providers that can provide support to Emergency Rental Assistance grantees that would like assistance.  Technical assistance can be provided to help Tribes and TDHEs with the design and administration of their ERA program.

If you have a need for technical assistance, please send an email to your Area ONAP Technical Assistance contact with your contact information, and topic areas where you may need additional support.  HUD will review all requests and work to provide you with support, subject to the availability of funds.  We will also work to make best practices available to you so that you can learn from the promising practices and policies of other ERA grantees.

Dear Tribal Leader Letter published on CARES Act Reporting Update

ONAP continues to work in collaboration with HUD’s CARES Act Compliance Response Team, the Office of Chief Financial Officer and the Office of Chief Information Officer to develop a simple, user-friendly portal so Tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities can fulfill their CARES Act reporting obligations with minimal additional burden. We anticipated having a portal available by now; however, because of continued delays in development, CARES Act grantees will not be required to submit a quarterly report (July 1st through September 30th) for the October 10, 2021, deadline. We apologize for this delay and hope to have a portal eventually available for CARES Act reporting.

Tribal Consultation on the Implementation Plan to Develop a Coordinated Environmental Review Process – October 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. EDT
