Basic Financial Management (May 10-11)

Participants at this 2-day, virtual training will provide an orientation to basic standards of accounting and GAAP, financial statements, and accounting transactions in a typical small Tribe/TDHE, and implementation of a strong financial management system and related internal controls in order to comply with the general provisions of 2 CFR Part 200.302 Financial Management, as well as compliance with the NAHASDA statutes and regulations.

Audit Preparation (May 13)

Participants at this 1-day, virtual training will be given resources and tools that the HUD/ONAP program recipients (Tribes and TDHEs) can utilize to prepare for and be “audit ready” for their annual audit of their Financial Statements and Single Audit.

Note:  These trainings are being offered in the same week to provide both financial management and audit preparation training as a package.  Participation in both is encouraged but not required.  Participants can register for one or both trainings.
