Managing Director

Diehl & Co. LLC

Date: November 17, 2026

Time: 2:00 – 3:30 pm EST

Training Description:

While considered a small niche for nonprofits, many long-term benefits will accrue to nonprofit organizations that decide to “take the leap” – applying for and raising funds for projects and operations through grant writing. This course covers both time-saving and effective techniques to succeed in selective targeting and then successfully obtaining grant funding from government, corporate, and foundation grant-makers. Joe has raised nearly $5 million dollars from the funding community over his career.

Training Objectives:

  • Understand the core components of a successful grant proposal and their purpose
  • Identify appropriate funding opportunities that align with their nonprofit’s mission and programs
  • Apply fundamental techniques for writing clear, compelling, and well‑structured grant narratives
  • Develop basic project budgets that accurately reflect program needs and meet funder requirements
  • Strengthen proposals by incorporating data, outcomes, and measurable objectives
  • Follow best practices for submitting grants, managing deadlines, and maintaining funder relationships
